Lviv Interregional Higher Vocational College of Railway Transport
The state educational institution "Lviv Interregional Higher Vocational College of Railway Transport" is the leading and only institution of professional and technical education of the Lviv region of the IIIrd (highest) attestation level for the training of highly qualified personnel of railway transport.
The history of the Lviv Interregional Higher Vocational College of Railway Transport begins in 1944. At that time, basic technical school No. 1 was created in order to provide the region with qualified workers of the railway profile. Reorganizations and renamings followed: City Vocational Technical College No. 31 (1968), Technical College No. 4 (1972), Technical College No. 52 (1978), and in 2006 the college received its current name.
The Lviv Interregional Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport has existing licenses for educational activities in the following specialties:
- On the basis of secondary education (9th grade):
- Conductor of a passenger train - car. Ticket cashier (training - educational period 3 years);
- Rolling stock repair mechanic. Electric locomotive driver's assistant (3 years);
- Rolling stock repair mechanic. Locomotive driver's assistant (3 years);
- Locksmith repairing wheeled vehicles.
- On the basis of general completed full school education (11th grade):
- Rolling stock repair mechanic. Locomotive driver's assistant (1.5 years);
- Rolling stock repair mechanic. Electric locomotive driver's assistant (1.5 years);
- Rolling stock repair mechanic. Electric train driver's assistant (1.5 years);
- Conductor of a passenger train - car (1 year);
- Contact network electrician. “Drezina – train” driver (1 year);
- Train - car inspector-repairer (1 year)
On January 1, 2024 - 40 pedagogical workers participate in the educational process, including: 22 teachers, 13 industrial training masters, 3 educators, head of extracurricular creativity of students, and 1 practical psychologist.
At the beginning of 2024 more than 300 students study at the college.
At the service of college students:
- a universal educational building with a design capacity of 960 people, a total area of 9284.1 m2 with:
- 26 classrooms;
- 3 laboratories;
- 3 locksmith workshops;
- dining room with 300 seats;
- assembly hall for 450 seats;
- a gym with an area of 501 m2;
- a library with an area of 213 m2, a fund of 27,800 books;
- a medical center with an outpatient office;
- a nine-story dormitory with a design capacity of 537 people, a total area of 6399.4 m2;
- stadium.
The building area of the institution is 3.2412 hectares
The school cooperates on a contractual basis with the following customer enterprises:
- "Lviv railway" regional branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia";
- JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" passenger company;
- Lviv communal enterprise "Lvivelectrotransport";
- Private joint-stock company "Lviv Locomotive Repair Plant";
- Lviv Armored Tank Repair factory
